FAQ
Do you know you spelled Cafe wrong? Actually we didn't, although spell check agrees with you, Caife is the Irish spelling for coffee, and Cistin is the Irish spelling for kitchen. Giving us the vastly innovative name of Coffee Kitchen
The receipt checking guy at Costco told me that I should keep my 50lb bag of Costco coffee in the freezer to keep it fresh, is that true?
Ummmm, no.
Okay coffee guy, why?
Well to start you never want to buy more coffee than you can drink in one to two weeks at a time, so the 50lb Costco bag is probably a bad idea to begin with. As for the freezer and fridge myths, which have been around for a long time, both are bad ideas. Freezers cause the oils on the beans to expand and cause cracks in the beans, which allow more oxygen to penetrate the bean, which can cause it to bitter when it is taken out of the freezer. As for the fridge, you know how your cheese tastes like onions when its in the fridge, and your onions taste like cheese? Well, the same thing can happen with coffee. So after all is said and done the best place for your coffee is tightly sealed in a cool dark place.
I'm missing a sock, have you seen it?
Yes.
We'll where is it?
Not telling.
Why do you ask all these questions when you make my drink?
I guess the simplest way to explain it is that, while our Baristas can make the textbook perfect, SCAA sanctioned, Coffee Illuminati approved drink, that may not be your perfect drink, and the only perfect drink should be your perfect drink, and the only way for us to make your perfect drink is to get inside of your head, we're kind of like coffee shrinks that way.
The music you play in the store sucks and is weird.
Thats a statement not a question, but if you want to us to add something to our playlist e-mail us or just ask while you're in the store and we'll see what we can do, and for the record They Might Be Giants rock.
